Gino Solda in the 30s of the last century participated in a winter Olympics with Italy in which he realized that Italian competitors were at a clear disadvantage due to the lack of suitable waxes. From there he dedicated himself to creating his own brand of waxes and tools for the improvement of performance, hence Solda was born.
